My name is Rajeev Karamchedu. I work as a IT Manager for a Bioinformatics research institute in Maryland. I and my team manage the storage, database, unix, grid and web environments for the Institute. I am mostly in meetings, either with one of these teams or with my own bosses (yes, I have more than one).
I like to bike. Don't mistake it and think that I actually do. I am either working around the house and spending a LOTS of time on the laptop - either learning new technologies, coding for some open source projects here and here and otherwise, breaking my blog template.
I have a fender 6 string acoustic. The only action it sees now-a-days is the likes of elementary school music when demanded by my daughter. I should have another 10 of them. Kids are grrreeeaat!
Any time you want to talk about unix, web, grid and storage technologies and their management techniques, I am all ears. I think there is room for lot of improvement there.
