As a member of the Apple Developer Connection, I have had a chance to download a build of Leopard and test it. Mainly I was testing out the new features such as TimeMachine and Spaces but soon I started testing a little down-to-earth much needed corporate stuff that could make my team’s like a heck a lot easier, such as LDAP, NFS and DFS support.
Verdict — Grade F for Apple. DFS still does not work. Which means I cannot seriously deploy Leopard clients in my enterprise environment with Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. The other two already support DFS. The only support for DFS and full AD support is via a third-party product called ADmitMac, which I am probably not going to buy.
Hearing me, Apple ?
